Really appreciated Dr DeDecker's professional manner and explaining the 3 possible options for fixing teeth! Also, his assistant was great.
Dr. Troy DeDecker spent fifteen years on aesthetic dentistry and implants. Manta Dental is the first practice with his own name on the door, in Waikoloa Plaza, and it is taking new patients now.
What we do
-
Implants
Planned on a 3D scan taken here, not sent away. You see the position before anything is placed.
-
Aesthetics
Whitening through to full aesthetic work. Fifteen years of it, and the reason most people travel here.
-
Restorative
Crowns, bridges and repairs matched to the teeth beside them, not to a shade chart.
-
Hygiene
Cleaning, gum health and the checks that stop small things becoming implants.
-
Ohana
The whole family, booked together where we can, so it is one trip instead of four.
Your first visit,start to finish.
-
You call or send the form
One practice, one dentist. You are not passed between a call centre and a coordinator.
-
We look properly
A cone beam scan gives a 3D image of the whole structure, taken here. No guessing, no referral out for imaging.
-
You see the options
Every route, what each one costs, and what happens if you wait. You decide in your own time.
-
Dr. DeDecker does the work
The person who planned it is the person who does it. That is the whole reason this practice exists.

“For me, dentistry is deeply rooted in the joy of connecting with and uplifting others.”
Questions we get every week.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes. The practice opened recently and there is room in the book, so a first visit is usually within a week rather than a month.
Do I need to go to Kona for an implant scan?
No. The cone beam scanner is here in Waikoloa. It takes a 3D image of the whole structure in one visit, and the planning happens on that scan.
Will I see Dr. DeDecker himself?
Every time. This is a single dentist practice. The person who plans the work is the person who does it.
How far do people travel to come here?
Waimea is about half an hour, Kailua-Kona about forty minutes. For aesthetic and implant cases most people book one longer visit rather than several short ones.
What does a first visit cost?
It depends on what you need and on your insurance. Call and the front desk will give you a figure before you book.
